Qualification
1. Students who have visa for studying Chinese purpose study Chinese program in Language Center of NCUE.
2. Students have been studying for 4 months continuously in Taiwan, and, from the day students apply, they should continue to register and pay for another course no less than 3 months.
3. Students have not been absent from class for over a quarter of total class hours.
Application procedure
Step 1. Prepare the following materials

Go to the website: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw. Fill out the application form online and print it out. Make sure the application form shows a bar code on it. Sign the application form. |
| Two color passport-size photos within 6 months | Paste on the application form two color passport-size photos with a white background taken within 6 months. |
| Passport and one photocopy of the passport |
The passport must be valid for at least 6 months and there are blank pages left in it. One photocopy of the passport bio-page including the holders picture is required. |

Original and one photocopy of health certificate |
The health certificate should be issued within 3 months by one of the local hospitals designated by the Centers for Disease Control of Ministry of Health and Welfare of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) or a foreign hospital. Health certificates issued by foreign hospitals must be authenticated by a R.O.C. (Taiwan) overseas mission. |
| Original and one photocopy of certificate of enrollment with record of registration |
The certificate of enrollment and record of registration should be issued by one of the Mandarin Chinese Learning Centers affiliated to universities accredited by the Ministry of Education. The certificate of enrollment must indicate completion of 4 months of study and registration for continued study for at least another 3 months. Weekly hours of attendance, Monday to Friday, must not be fewer than 15 hours. |

Bank statements or records of remittance provided by the applicant or his/her relatives within the third degree of kinship (grandparents, parents and siblings). *Bank statements or records of remittance supported by the applicant’s relatives must be submitted along with the household registration/ birth certificate/ family book which may prove the relationship of relative. *The amount showing on the bank statements or records of remittance, when the visa application is submitted, must be sufficient enough for at least a consecutive 3 months living needs. *The scholarship certificate must indicate the duration and the exact amount of the scholarship. |
| Other supporting documents |
To be decided on a case-by-case basis. Such as recognizance (do not engage in illegal work). Applicants who apply for a Resident Visa after having arrived in the R.O.C. (Taiwan) are required to present also one photocopy of the Visitor Visa and the immigration entry stamp. |
*It costs NTD 300 and takes two working days to process certificate of enrollment and record of registration at the Language Center.
Step 2. Apply for a resident visa
1. Students may apply for a resident visa at the Bureau of Consular Affairs 3 or 4 weeks before the visa expires.
2. Get a resident visa after the application has been approved.
Step 3. Apply for Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)
1. Prepare the following materials
I. The photocopy of passport with resident visa
II. The photocopy of two-inch photo (Jeg, 4KB-512KB, pixels：413*531)
III. The photocopy of certificate of enrollment and record of registration
IV. Proof of Accommodation
2. Upload your application materials to the system, waiting for their approval.
3. After your application is approved, finish the payment.
4. Please submit your e-residence to the language center of NCUE once you get it.

Qualification
Huayu Enrichment Scholarship recipients who have a resident visa for studying Chinese purpose.
Application procedure

II. The photocopy of two-inch photo (Jeg, 4KB-512KB, pixels：413*531)
III. The photocopy of certificate of enrollment and record of registration
IV. Proof of Accommodation
2. Upload your application materials to the system, waiting for their approval.
3. After your application is approved, finish the payment.
4. Please submit your e-residence to the language center of NCUE once you get it.
